Some manufacturers still rely on loose, scavenged 18650 lithium-ion cells like these—cells with inconsistent chemistry, degraded cycle life, and unknown thermal history. Packs built from mixed or rewrapped cells suffer from cell imbalance, elevated internal resistance, and a higher likelihood of thermal runaway under load. This is exactly why we refuse to use non-solid, non-traceable cells. Our power systems are built around semi-solid-state batteries: matched, grade-A cells with tighter electrolyte containment, higher thermal stability, and fully documented provenance. Reliability starts at the chemistry level, and we only build on platforms engineered for safety and consistency.
