Battery & Electronic Equipment Recycling
Some Canard products contain batteries or electronic components. When you buy a replacement from us, you can return your old one to us for free recycling. Here's how.
How to return your old product
When you purchase a new Canard product to replace an existing one, we will arrange free collection of your old item (any brand, same type). Contact us with your name, email address and order number and we will send you a prepaid return label within 2 business days.
This service is available to UK customers only and is limited to one return per new item purchased.

Why recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK's fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If not recycled, electrical equipment ends up in landfill where hazardous substances leak out and cause soil and water contamination, harming wildlife and human health.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol
Products marked with a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol must not be thrown away with your normal household waste. This symbol is a reminder that the item should be recycled separately through an appropriate collection point.
Can't find your local recycling centre?
If you are not replacing a Canard product but simply want to dispose of an old device responsibly, you can find your nearest free electrical and battery recycling point at recyclenow.com.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013 require UK retailers to provide customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Canard meets these requirements by offering free one-for-one take-back directly to customers purchasing a replacement product.
Canard London Ltd is registered as a WEEE producer. Our WEEE producer registration number is WEE/MM7338AA.
Battery disposal
Products containing lithium-ion batteries must not be disposed of in general household waste. Our take-back service covers batteries contained within returned products. Loose batteries can be taken to any supermarket, DIY store or local authority recycling centre for free.
Canard London Ltd is registered as a battery producer under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009. Our Battery Producer Registration Number is BPRN12798.
